Jody Medford was born in Enka NC.  He started his singing career singing Bass with local gospel quartets. As he got older his voice got much lower and landed him jobs singing Bass with some of the best quartets in the nation. He has had the privilege of singing full time in shows in Branson Mo. and Pigeon Forge, TN., including theme parks such as Dollywood and Silver Dollar City. After moving back to NC, Jody and his friend decided to start a country band. After some success and a national single the group disbanded, so Jody decided to strike out on his own. He and his friend Kimo Forrest (guitarist for Alabama) and Cash Creek have teamed up for what they feel are a couple of hit songs.

Jody has two national singles: "Southern Born, Southern Bred" and a new version of "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch."  Both of those songs, along with his song with Cash Creek, titled "Moonshine," (see video above) are available currently on iTunes.

Jody's new Album, titled "The Big Revival" stars Josh Owens (of the tv show "Moonshiners" as seen on the Discovery Channel), Herbert "Cowboy" Coward (main villain in the movie "Deliverance") and Billy Redden (boy with the banjo in "Deliverance").

Jody is also founder of "
Stop the Pain" an organization whose mission is to raise awareness of bullying in our schools as well as suicide of all ages.  Jody has produced a multitude of concerts and other fundraising events to benefit "Stop the Pain" in their efforts.

Be watching for Jody to appear in concerts across the nation in the very near future.

Jody and Stop the Pain would like to thank The Barn at Paint Fork for donating a portions of the proceeds from its Summer Concert Series toward Stop the Pain and its efforts.
